The inspiration for this collaboration was the discovery of the 6,225-carat Insofu Emerald in the Kagem Gem Mine in Zambia a few years ago. At that time, Chopard decided to purchase this rough stone, marking a key moment in the brand's jewelry history. Insofu Emerald is uncut, pure, and has an infinite variety of green luster, reflecting the natural beauty of the heart. To bring out the gem’s unique brilliance, Caroline Scheufele worked with India’s top emerald cutters to carve the emerald into a work of art. The entire cutting process was completed in Chopard’s Geneva workshops and Jaipur, the traditional birthplace of Indian jewelry.
Combining avant-garde design with traditional aesthetics, they have crafted a rare set of pieces made from Insofu emeralds, including a ring, a necklace, and a pair of earrings. This "Chopard x Julia Roberts" high jewelry limited edition combines unique and vivid colors with the lines of contemporary goldsmithing, showcasing their exquisite craftsmanship and reminiscent of the rich cultural heritage of Indian jewelry. The crystal green of the emerald blends with the sky blue of turquoise, which Julia Roberts particularly loves and is inseparable from, and the cherry red rubellite is also cleverly integrated together, finally presenting a charming masterpiece.The cocktail rings in this collection fan out from the emerald center to the neighboring fingers, with teardrop-shaped gemstone petals forming a gorgeous flower.
